Clinical predictors of endometritis in women with symptoms and signs of pelvic inflammatory disease

Article Abstract:

A type of pelvic pain called adnexal tenderness appears to be very accurate in diagnosing pelvic inflammatory disease. This test combined with a positive blood test for Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae also improve the diagnosis of endometritis, an inflammation of the uterine lining.
