How aerobic exercise helps

Article Abstract:

Aerobic exercise enhances a weight loss program by burning a significant number of calories and increasing a preson's metabolic rate. Furthermore, it reduces the risks of malnutrition since the dieter does not have to take an extremely low calorie diet.

There are three theories concerning the cause of obesity: the overeating theory, the mixture of nutrients theory and the setpoint mechanism theory. Recent genetic and metabolic research supports the plausibility of the setpoint theory.
