How much safety training do employees understand?

Article Abstract:

Employers need to address illiteracy issues in devising effective safety and health programs. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration offers guidelines to employers to help them develop efficient safety training programs. Employers should ensure that workers understand the objectives and importance of the program. The program's pace should be similar to actual operations, and should be tailored to workers' literacy and safety practices. Simple terms and visual materials should be used to aid workers' comprehension.
