How to make questionnaire work: looks may not be everything, but an attractive user-friendly design combined with clear targeted questions help a questionnaire do its job

Article Abstract:

The layout of a questionnaire as part of a research study is important and it should be user-friendly, providing clear instructions on how to complete it. It is usually best presented on A4 size paper, and response rate may be improved with the use of an attractive typeface on coloured paper. Postal questionnaires are a good way of reaching large numbers, but often have poor response rates, whereas telephone surveys using a questionnaire format have few response rate problems.

Help is in the air

Article Abstract:

Wound healing can be speeded up using hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) which is a method of introducing 100% oxygen into a patient's blood stream. Oxygenation of haemoglobin improves the healing ability of tissue with regard to wounds. Infection of wounds is decreased when using HBOT because oxygen helps increase permeability of capillaries, allowing faster tissue regeneration.
