Hysteroscopic injection of tracers in sentinel node detection of endometrial cancer: a feasibility study

Article Abstract:

The feasibility of sentinel lymph node (SLN) detection in endometrial cancer patients with hysteroscopic injection of tracers is evaluated. It was concluded that the results obtained seem promising for further controlled studies using the hysteroscopic injection technique of tracers and the low incidence nodal metastases are considered at low stages and an adequate number of case is necessary to confirm the predicting value of SLN in this tumor.

Pathologic expression of p53 or p16 in preoperative curettage specimens identifies high-risk endometrial carcinomas

Article Abstract:

The expression pattern of p53 and p16 in curettage material from endometrial carcinoma patients is examined in relation to clinicopathological variables and patient prognosis. Findings demonstrate that pathological expression of p53 and p16 in curettage material identifies high-risk endometrial carcinoma patients with poor prognosis.
