Article Abstract:

One male and one female patient suffering from ankylosing spondylitis, the inflammation of the joints between the vertebrae, also suffered from inflammation of the kidney capillaries. The female patient is the first reported case to suffered both conditions concurrently. Contrary to previously reported cases, her kidney problems preceded her joint problems.
