Impaired prostate tumorigenesis in EGr1-deficient mice

Article Abstract:

Research presented concerns the relationship between the overexpression of early growth response protein 1 (EGR1) and human prostate cancer. The impact of Egr1 deficiency on tumorigenesis is discussed, as well as Egr1's role in regulating the development from prostatic intra-epithelial neoplasia to invasive carcinoma.

Nicotine stimulates angiogenesis and promotes tumor growth and atherosclerosis

Article Abstract:

Nicotine clearly induces angiogenesis, accelerates tumor growth, and promotes atherosclerosis. These effects are mediated by nocotinic acetylcholine receptors at significantly high concentrations.
