Information gap

Article Abstract:

Glasgow health visitors and district nurses are unprepared for the implementation of community care in 1993 due to lack of information and training. Community nurse, Bridget Hunter fear the reforms will strain an already over-extended service and considers lack of information is lowering morale. She also opposes social service assessment of needs. Royal College of Nursing (RCN)representative, Kay Boyd recommends cooperation between the disciplines and communication improvements. The situation in Glasgow may be typical of other areas.
