Intel connects on- and off-the-job safety

Article Abstract:

Intel, with an employee strength of 80,000, has extended its on-the-job safety culture to off-the-job safety. The injury-free culture proved good for the business, and for the morale of its employees. The manufacturing units of Intel pioneered in grasping the value of off-the-job safety. Intel is planning to reinforce the economic and cultural value of its off-the-job safety programs.

An educated approach

Article Abstract:

The safety and security measures in college campuses have undergone a phenomenal change after the September 11 attacks. An attempt to forge relations with community to handle emergencies is being made by the safety professionals at the campuses. The control on hazardous materials at the campuses is also discussed.

Getting ergonomics down to size

Today's small businesses need ergonomically friendly environment for their business success. There is an increased need for the companies to measure the cost concerns of the development and improvement of ergonomics, which ensures safer workplace conditions for the employees.
