Intermittent low-level viremia in very early primary HIV-1 infection

Article Abstract:

The onset of viremia marks a critical time point in the natural history of HIV infection because it indicates infectivity of the exposed individual with the potential for secondary transmissions. It is concluded that low-level viremia is not uncommon during the very early period of primary HIV infection preceding ramp-up viremia.
