Is nursing management in your future?

Article Abstract:

Career advancement and assuming a management position increases the nurse's scope of responsibility and requires a greater variety of skills and knowledge. As new nurses plan their future and educational needs, they can benefit from an understanding of the different organizational roles open to them and the competencies they will need to be successful. Some programs with new standards for advanced education for different entry levels in nursing as well as non-nursing administration programs are discussed.
