Nurse prescribing: Current status and future developments

Article Abstract:

Prescribing offer nurses the chance to improve the care that they deliver to their patients and hence the government has proposed to add another 60 drugs to the nurse prescribersE formulary. Prescribing also provides opportunities for collaborative work in driving the national directives forward, resulting in new roles for nurses.

How increased nurse prescribing can improve stoma care practice

Article Abstract:

A nurse must have good knowledge about the assessment processes, stoma products and their usage as prescribing for stoma care is a complex issue. They should not only give time to learn the prescribing skills for patients with a stoma but also learn full assessment process and prescribing.
