Keeping up with computerization

Article Abstract:

Computer technology is revolutionizing the practice of clinical medicine. Some of the innovations in the offing include: standard software packages for billing systems; integrated local and regional networks for medical record keeping; clinical problem solving programs; and new telecommunications technology that will allow the transmission of magnetic resonance and tomography images. These systems will place a premium on the ability of physicians to access local and wide area networks.
