Leading a community resource team for older people

Working with elderly people allows nurses to use the full range of their skills, according to Lesley Bainbridge, team coordinator for the Community Resource Team for Older People scheme in Gateshead, England. She feels that the work of her team is really making a difference to people's lives.

Should free personal care be available for all older people?

Opposing views concerning whether or not personal care for the elderly should be free of charge are presented. The options of investing in the care of the elderly or in better services for their care are discussed.
