Low-carolie sweeteners: just 'sweet nothings'?

Article Abstract:

The Food and Drug Administration has approved four low-calorie sweeteners which taste like sugar but have no appreciable calories. Saccharin, Aspartame, Acesulfame-K, and Sucralose sugar substitutes have various health indications and usages. Many health problems have been blamed on Aspartame, but it has only been proven to be unsafe for phenylketonuria patients.

Asparagus are a nutritious spring vegetable that are good raw or lightly cooked. They are a good source of potassium (144 mg) and Vitamin A (485 IU). Recipes include lemon-asparagus soup, asparagus frittata, aparagus Milanese and plain steamed asparagus.
