MD's findings critical to fallout exposure trial

Joseph L. Lyon, MD, has found that leukemia deaths in children in Utah who were born between 1951 and 1958 were significantly higher than in the years before l951 or after 1958. Dr. Lyon feels his research definitely points to an association between fallout exposure and leukemia deaths in these Utah children.

Story Musgrave, MD, was a member of the crew aboard the April 1983 flight of the Challenger space shuttle. Dr. Musgrave performed medical experiments that will be useful for future Space Lab flights, walked in space and tested his abilities as a space repairman.
