Wembley Stadium, London, England, has a medical centre, first aid units and employs medical teams who have to be prepared to deal with every eventuality from minor injuries to major incidents. The management team consists of an event nursing officer, a health and safety manager and a doctor trained in major incident management. The major incident procedure is thoroughly documented with allocated roles and tiered command. It incorporates two triage systems.

Dallas Chaffins has received recognition from the Mine Safety and Health Administration and has been awarded a certificate of Honor by the Joseph A Holmes Safety Association. He has put in 55 years as a miner, without a single lost-time injury, and plans to put in another five or six years in service.
