Management of bilaterally impacted mandibular second and third molars: case report

Article Abstract:

The surgical management of a patient with bilaterally impacted second and third molars is described. His second and third molars on both sides of his lower jaw were literally laying on their sides in his jaw. The second molar was on the bottom and the third molar was on top of it. His general dentist referred him to an oral surgeon and an orthodontist. The surgeon moved the third molars to an upright position and the orthodontist gave the patient braces. Eventually, the second molars moved to an upright position and the third molars were extracted.
