MedtronicsE hands-on training program creates CPR/AED advocates
Article Abstract:
According to the American Heart Association in Dallas, 340,000 people die every year due to coronary heat disease, with cardiac arrests accounting for most of the sudden deaths. The Redmond, Washington-based company Medtronic Emergency Response Systems has started a free training program for its 1,000 employees in CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. These emergency methods enable the trained members to tackle cardiac arrest cases wherever they may be.

Assisting the disabled worker

Emergency planning, especially in high rise buildings often overlook the needs of disabled persons. The problem is more so in the case of people with invisible disabilities like hearing loss and chronic fatigue syndrome. The key aspects related to crisis planning for people with disabilities are examined.
