Memory may not need reminding
Article Abstract:
Two populations of CD4+T cells, termed 'effector' and 'central memory' T cells are generated after primary Leishmania major infection. Research on mice shows that populations can mediate protection against subsequent infection, and that persistent infection keeps the effector response robust.

A live-cell assay to detect antigen-specific CD4(super+) T cells with diverse cytokine profiles
Article Abstract:
An assay to identify antigen-responsive CD4(super +) T cells that overcomes many of the limitations of existing assays is described. Results reveal that stimulated cells expressing tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha interleukin (IL)-2 or interferon (IFN)-gamma is predominantly CD154(super +).
