Region 4 targets chemical-safety audits

Article Abstract:

A brief description of the chemical-safety audits being conducted by the EPA's Region 4 office in Atlanta, GA, is provided. The regional office undertakes about eight to 10 chemical-safety audits annually throughout the eight Southeastern states it covers. These audits can last up toweek and involve the participation of five to eight EPA technical staffers. Theaudits are mandated by the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.
