More than 6,000 abstracts received for annual meeting

Article Abstract:

APHA had called for abstracts for its 132nd Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., where about 6,300 abstracts were submitted to the APHA. Program planners from APHA, Special Primary Interest Groups and Caucuses are reviewing the abstracts that are to be presented at the Annual Meeting, and APHA is sending notifications to the submitters whether their abstracts are accepted or declined.

APHA Section elections to begin in mid-May

Article Abstract:

The APHA Section 2004 election was held on May 14 and the nomination slates for APHA Sections officers, councilors, and representatives were printed in May 2003. The election ran through an electronic ballot process and the members without the e-mail address were mailed a ballot paper.
