Multiple choice: new research on selecting the best exercises for beginners

Article Abstract:

Beginners in bodybuilding are advised to concentrate on single-joint exercises for the initial month or so, then eventually integrate complex and multijoint exercises. Preferable single-joint exercises include front raises, lateral raises, pec-deck flyes, curls, and pressdowns.

Basics of belt use

Article Abstract:

Powerlifting does not require the use of belts but rules allow belts that are 10 cm wide and 13 mm thick. Some weightlifters do not use belts because they interfere with the execution of the lifts while some prefer wearing belts to allow them to lift more weight.
