New hope for spinal injuries: Dennis Byrd shows there's new promise for trauma victims

Article Abstract:

People suffering from spinal cord injuries caused by accidents now have hope for recovery as newmedical breakthroughs surface one by one. One shining example is New York Jet'sDennis Byrd who is now bound for full recovery when he was treated with anti-infalmmatory steroid called methylprednisolone. Other treatments include fetal cell implants and use of antibodies.

The new food labeling law scheduled to take effect on May 1, 1993, requires listing of nutrients in a understandable form with standardized serving sizes. Companies are prohibited from promoting a healthy feature of a food while ignoring an unhealthy one.
