The Royal Marsden National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust, in conjunction with the Institute for Cancer Research, has a prestigious cancer-related research programme with a commitment to developing nursing research. Nurses are able to make an important contribution to cancer care as their close relationship with patients gives them a unique research perspective that might not be considered by other professions.

Guiding principles for patient-centered cancer services

Article Abstract:

Macmillan Cancer Relief, an organization that aims at improving the equity in access to cancer services determined the hindrances that make it difficult to receive support while experiencing cancer. The different barriers to access cancer services, such as the physical, professional, and attitude barriers were identified, along with the strategies to minimize these barriers.
