Understanding the principles of pulse oximetry can reduce errors

The lack of knowledge of good practice with regard to oximetry can have serious consequences for patients since its a complex issue. Hence it requires consideration of various factors like respiratory rate, blood supply to the area the probe is situated at, cleanliness of the probe and others.

The way in which bandages can be used in a variety of ways on different parts of the body to hold dressings in place and provide support following sprains is described. Application of proper bandages requires thorough training and assessment skill of competence.
