Five of the most common weight training routines are analyzed and some alterations are suggested to maximize the benefit from each set. The modifications were designed to facilitate the achievement of high-intensity workouts.

Bench press ability can be improved by training twice a week, using incline bench presses and dumbbell flyes, working triceps and shoulders and having the proper attitude. A sample training regimen is included.
