Doctors in the field uneasy over Mrs. Clinton's role

Article Abstract:

Physicians have expressed doubts that Hillary Rodham Clinton, head of Pres Clinton's health care policy team, can be an effective health care reformer without a medical degree. While some praise her background and accomplishments in social policy and the law, others fear that a lawyer may take the wrong tack in policymaking. Many physicians are critical that organized medicine has not yet played a substantial role in ongoing reform negotiations.

Small groups lax about OSHA bloodborne pathogen rules

Article Abstract:

Many small medical practices are not complying with OSHA's bloodborne pathogens rules. These small practices are often frustrated with trying to comply with rules that are costly and confusing. Physicians who own their own practices are especially worried that expenses such as new equipment and employee training will be too costly.
