Personality type and clinical evaluations in an obstetrics/gynecology medical student clerkship

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken with the purpose of determining whether the Myers-Briggs inventory extraversion is associated with clinical evaluation ratings that students earn during their (obstetrics/gynecology) junior medical student clerkship. Results showed that Myers-Briggs type inventory extraversion is correlated positively to medical students evaluations process.

Educational games in an obstetrics and gynecology core curriculum

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted with the purpose of comparing learning satisfaction and effectiveness using traditional lecture or educational games in teaching medical students about ectopic pregnancy. It was found that using educational games to teach students about ectopic pregnancy was as effective as a standard lecture but was more enjoyable and stimulating.

Evaluating medical student obstetrics and gynecology clerkship performance: Which assessment tools are most reliable?

Article Abstract:

Medical student performance on an obstetrics and gynecology (Ob-Gyn) core clerkship was examined in a study in order to determine the most discriminating measures of student performance. National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) Subject Test scores were highly correlated with overall clinical clerkship performance.
