Prevention of falls in people over 65

Article Abstract:

Older people who have falls may lose confidence which may cause them to restrict their lifestyle. A total purchasing pilot (TPP) group of practices looked at emergency admissions and found that seven out of the nine people who had fallen were older people. A prevention programme Mind Your Step was set up, aiming to reduce or prevent falls, increase patient confidence, promote a health outlook and better practice.
