Pride in Profession Awards honor heroes of medicine

A review on the efforts and work of four Pfizer Medical Humanities Initiative award winners, Dr. Wendy S. Ring, Walter J. Kah n, Col. John M. Uhorchak, and Michael J. Van-Rooyen is presented. These doctors work voluntarily for humanity, compassion, and commitment to medical and emotional care.

Recertification process gets physician input

Article Abstract:

A 15-member liaison committee has started meeting to make recommendations for possible changes to recertification of internists. Physicians stated that board certification was necessary for their bottom line, failing to get certified could mean losing managed contracts.
