Proposing resolutions for a healthy New Year

Article Abstract:

The American Medical Association (AMA) should work towards establishing anall-inclusive unified voice in 1997. The AMA should resolve Medicare issues, continue to protest gag clauses, maintain a reasoned position in ethical debates, and speak out against tobacco companies. It should also begin implementation of professional standards, realize the recommendations set forth in the 1996 Federation Study, secure medical liability reform and strive to eliminate violence.
