Providing end-of-life care for people with learning disabilities

Article Abstract:

The end-of-life care model Preferred Place of Care and the philosophy known as person-centered planning both aim to make patient choices and view central to providing end-of-life care for cancer patients with learning disabilities. A comparison on the benefits and drawbacks of the two strategies is presented.

Evaluating use of a support group in secondary breast cancer care

Article Abstract:

The recursion of breast cancer that is secondary breast cancer, is virtually incurable although treatment can keep it in check. In Oldham, a group was set up to enable women to share experiences and offer mutual support, as little psychological support was available.
