Quality, clarity of proposal key to publishing book

Article Abstract:

Medical professionals who wish to get a book published must first write a book proposal, the document upon which a publisher bases a judgement as to the marketability of the work. The proposal should contain the author's justification for the existence of the book and clearly outline its premise. It should also indicate the book's potential market and place a tentative number on that possible readership. The proposal should contain a comparison of the work to already published books, explaining the need for another on the subject. Concise but informative information on the book's structure, in the form of a chapter outline, constitutes the final necessary element in the proposal.

How to develop an effective staff job evaluation plan

Article Abstract:

An effective medical staff job evaluation plan should include experience, education, responsibility, amount of patient contact and self-starting capabilities. Each factor is weighed separately and each level within each factor must be defined. Grade levels that are established present salary limits that cannot be increased except through cost-of-living adjustments. This technique prevents overpayment of an individual in a position who has been in a job for a long time.
