Quest for coverage

Article Abstract:

The United States, even after spending more on health care per capita than other developed nations, had more than 41.2 million people uninsured in 2001 due to lack of reliable access to physicians and medical services. The health insurance premium doubled in 2002 and made it more difficult for employers and workers to continue paying for health coverage as states were staggering under massive Medicaid budgets and increase in Medicare cost.
