RSI on the rampage

Article Abstract:

A large increase in repetitive strain injury (RSI) cases referred to Usdaw, a labour union for shop workers, has led the union to begin a campaign to combat the issue. RSI can affect production staff, butchers, and checkout employees, as well as people using VDUs. Compensation claims tend to involve delays, though 26 cases have reached the compensation stage, with 565 such cases still on the union's file. Usdaw has published a guide for union representatives and employers, giving advice on how to tackle this problem.

Life in the fast lane: supply and demand is hitting the road. With the advent of E-Z passes, a highway caste system now lets motorists buy their way out of traffic jams

Article Abstract:

The E-Z pass scanners allow a driver to speed through toll booths. A vision of the expansion of this program to toll roads across the US, with various enhancements, is discussed. Rates could change according to time of day, and location. Discount hunting vs expense accounts would segregate drivers.
