Rabies: Deadly but preventable

Article Abstract:

Rabies is a viral infection affecting the central nervous system, and it is spread by the saliva of infected animals. Signs and symptoms of rabies appear one to three months after exposure, which include restlessness, fatigue, loss of appetite, headache, fever and tingling at the site of the bite, and if it is determined that rabies is a possibility, treatment needs to begin at once.

Cornea transplants

Article Abstract:

Cornea transplants are done to treat many of the common causes of cornea damage, which can harm the vision severely. Eye injury, hereditary predisposition, infections and complications from cataract surgery are some of the reasons that might cause one or more cornea layer to be damaged.

Head lice

Article Abstract:

Head lice are tiny, wingless, yellow-gray parasites that live in the hair of a person causing severe itching. Lotions and shampoos that are designed to kill lice can be used to eliminate them, however, unless treated properly the head lice can be a recurring problem.
