Reactive oxygen species are involved in lipopolysaccharide-induced intrauterine growth restriction and skeletal development retardation in mice

Article Abstract:

The effects of maternal lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure at late gestational stages on intrauterine fetal growth and skeletal development in mice are examined, also evaluating the role of reactive oxygen species in the fetal growth restriction and skeletal development retardation. Results indicate that maternal lipopolysaccharide exposure at late gestational stages results in intrauterine fetal growth restriction and skeletal development retardation in mice, where reactive oxygen species might be at least partly involved in the LPS-induced effects.

Clinical significance of first trimester crown-rump length disparity in dichorionic twin gestations

Article Abstract:

Clinical significance of first trimester crown-rump disparity in dichorionic twin gestations was determined. First trimester crown-rump length disparity in dichorionic twin gestations was found to be associated with an increased risk of fetal structural and chromosal anomalies.
