Comparison of scanning laser polarimetry using variable corneal compensation and retinal nerve fiber layer photography for detection of glaucoma

Article Abstract:

The retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) measurements of scanning laser polarimetry (SLP) using variable corneal polarization compensation are compared with the standard red-free photography for detection of RNFL damage in glaucoma. There exists a moderate correlation between RNFL thickness measurements obtained with SLP and RNFL scores from red-free photographs.

Morphometric analysis of angiograms of exudative lesions in age-related macular degeneration

Article Abstract:

The relationship between individual lesion components and choroidal neovascularization (CNV) subtype is examined at two time points. The most important risk factor for rapid expansion of CNV is the presence of classic leakage in exudative age-related macular degeneration.

Biocompatibility of trypan blue with human corneal cells

Article Abstract:

The toxicity of trypan blue on human corneal cells is quantified according to exposure time and concentration. The higher concentration time and longer exposure period lead to toxic trypan blue in vitro to corneal endothelium and corneal fibroblasts.
