Relationship between eating patterns meeting recommendations and subsequent mortality in 20 years

Article Abstract:

Proper nutrition has been known to significantly increase the cure rate and decrease the risk of various diseases, including coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, diabetes and various types of cancer. Nutritionists have come up with dietary recommendations to guide people on the proper kinds and amounts of food to eat. However, further study is needed to assess the impact of dietary recommendations on mortality.

This article traces the changes in the nutritional status and food consumption patterns of rural Bangladeshis from 1981 to 1996. An analysis of participants' food habits, body constitution, and energy metabolism measurements is presented.
