Report predicts burgeoning vaccine markets

Article Abstract:

A prominent consulting firm is predicting that vaccines for diseases like influenza, pneumococcus, HIV and hepatitis C. have the potential to become pharmaceutical profit leaders over the next decade. In order to identify the promising indications, analysts quantified the unmet need for vaccines against specific diseases and the sizes in major pharmaceutical markets, which are Europe, Japan and the United States.

New class of HIV drugs show promise

Article Abstract:

The new medications developed to fight multi-drug resistant HIV are nearing the clinical trial stage. The analysis of the patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy has demonstrated that the overall prevalence of multi-drug resistance is growing.
