Reproductive health history of lesbians: Implications for care

Article Abstract:

Lifetime pregnancy-related outcomes and hormonal contraception for 392 women who reported sexual activity with another woman in the preceding year is reported. The conclusion states that previous pregnancy, induced abortion and hormonal contraceptive use are common among women who report sex with women, regardless of self-identification as lesbian.

Clinical findings among young women with genital human papillomavirus infection

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on human papillomavirus infection. The authors have investigated the symptoms and clinical signs associated with the infection DNA detection in the female genital tract, and the results indicate that asymptomatic nature of the infection.

Genital human papillomavirus infection in women who have sex with women: a review

Article Abstract:

Lesbians should have a Pap smear on a regular basis, since there is evidence that women can transmit human papillomavirus to other women. This is especially true if one of the women is bisexual and also has sexual relations with men.
