Residents regret signing on with union, seek to disaffiliate

Article Abstract:

California Assn of Interns and Residents (CAIR) members are trying to end their affiliation with Service Employees International Union Local 250. Relations between the two bodies have been marked by acrimony and rancor, and CAIR has charged the union with attempting a 'hostile takeover' of the group. The American Arbitration Assn is expected to decide on CAIR's disaffiliation request in Jan 1998.
