SARS spreads new outlook on quarantine models

Article Abstract:

Division of Global Migration and Quarantine at the US centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will implement quarantine models based on fresh data from SARS outbreak. This mathematical model address the relative significance of different transmission patterns and provides information on advent of SARS spreading from infected person.

Global polio campaign doomed to fail, experts warn

Article Abstract:

The World Health Organization's (WHO) plan to eradicate polio relies on the oral vaccine as it is cheap and easy to administer in resource poor countries. Experts feel that even if WHO reaches its goal, a small number of undetected but immunocompromised individuals could incubate and spread polio allowing for subsequent outbreaks.
