Saline solutions: the quest for fresh water

Article Abstract:

An evaluation is presented on desalination methods used in Saudi Arabia, which include the expensive processes of reverse osmosis and electrodialysis. Issues surrounding the less costly membrane process for desalting wastewater for drinking are also discussed.
