Serum aldosterone and the incidence of hypertension in nonhypertensive persons

Plasma natriuretic peptide levels and the risk of cardiovascular events and deaths

Article Abstract:

Plasma natriuretic peptide levels predicted the risk of death and cardiovascular events after adjustment for traditional risk factors, through community based sampling. Counterregulatory hormones involved in homeostasis and cardiovascular remodeling are known to be natruitic peptides.
