Denise Johnson, whose husband was killed by the alleged DC snipers,?filed suit against ?rifle manufacturer Bushmaster?and Bull's Eye Shooter Supply of Tacoma, WA, where the assailants obtained their weapan. She believes shooting victims should be able to sue gunmakers. Te xas rep Suzanna Gratia Hupp, who ?lost her parents in Oct 1991 in a random shooting by a crazed gunman in Killen, TX, takes a contrary position. She does not think the gun industry should?be liable for the actions of criminal s who misuse weapo ns.

Voter apathy is a phenomenon, which has to be nipped in the bud especially after statistics reveal that only a miniscule percentage of women under-30 considers it important to vote. The daughters of candidates in the election ring in New York City, New York along had a discussion with voting experts at the end of which they urged all women to go out to exercise their franchise and not to take their privilege for granted.
