Six secrets that someone should tell our patients

Article Abstract:

Better understanding between physicians and patients would be beneficial in helping patients realize the strains and limitations placed on doctors. For example, many consumers do not understand that physicians' incomes have remained relatively stable compared to the spiraling cost of medical care. Furthermore, many doctors do a lot of work before and after patient visits, analyzing medical histories and laboratory reports. Other issues that would enhance understanding are presented.
