Chronic disease-the need for a new clinical education
Article Abstract:
Chronic disease is continuous and rarely be cured that makes the patient often more knowledgeable than the physician about the effects of the disease, its treatment has integral role in the treatment process. Hence, there is a need for a new clinical education to address these issues with creativity and innovation that will prepare students adequately for their future practice, which the fundamental approach to medical education failed to address.

A 62-year-old woman with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Article Abstract:
The treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is reviewed, based on the case of a 62-year-old woman. Topics include natural history, smoking cessation, drug treatment, exacerbations, pulmonary rehabilitation, surgery, advance directives, and other end-of-life issues. Smoking is the most common cause of COPD, although exposure to biomass fuel exhaust in developing countries is another important risk factor.
