Stem cells may offer incontinence cure

Article Abstract:

Patient's stem cell can successfully treat urinary incontinence, according to the first clinical trial of its kind. Australian researchers, presenting the findings at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago, stated that they believed the procedure was an effective and long-lasting treatment for the condition, and cost was about the same as collagen injections or pads.

The next nursing century

Article Abstract:

Nurses anticipate and describe what lies in store for them and the nursing profession in the period of 100 years from 2006. Nurses feel that future nurses would have more access to information, would have to care for huge number of older people as life expectancy would increase, and would be expected to mange more long-term conditions, thus believing that the very essence of nursing would survive.

Primary care takes the lead in health

Article Abstract:

Ms Pamela Buffey, a qualified general nurse, who spent most of her time in the hospital with surgery, has never regretted moving into primary care. Primary care is where the patient is the main focus and they receive care and support in the nurses local practice or at home.
